Community Partners

The Kumugwe Cultural Society would like to express our sincere appreciation for the generous donations of our community partners to Potlatch 67-67: The Potlatch Ban - Then and Now. Through their support our commitment to providing a thought-provoking educational experience for our community members has been realized. The Kumugwe Cultural Society and its’ members are humbled and honoured by the investment of our community partners in this program.

In particular, the Comox Valley Art Gallery has been a strong ally in reconciliation and we hold our hands up to their outstanding support of this program. Potlatch 67-67: The Potlatch Ban - Then and Now will bring awareness to this shared history so that we, Indigenous and Non-Indigenous, can all go forward together, which is the true spirit of reconciliation.

Reconciliation - true reconciliation - is meaningful when a full understanding is met and we are able to move forward as allies in the reconciliation process.
